Ministries
Ordinary people, everyday lives, universities, schools, offices, families, children, teens, couples, relationships, struggles, pain, laughter– Jesus Youth is present and at work in all these diverse set of life situations.
Deeply human, people-oriented and culture-sensitive, the movement works through local individuals across different demographics and geographies. Every initiative of the movement emerges from genuine personal inspirations and is passionately driven by the love of the Heavenly Father for every person on the face of the earth.

Our History
In the mid-1970s, the Charismatic Renewal ignited in India, reaching Kerala. The Holy Spirit’s wave birthed youth groups, renewing Catholic faith. By 1985, these groups united for ‘Jesus Youth 85,’ coining their identity. Sharing experiences, they propagated Jesus’ message in universities, schools, and cities, forming prayer and cell groups.
The youth’s spiritual vitality became a global lifestyle, spreading as they traveled abroad. Today, Jesus Youth spans 25+ countries, a testament to their impactful journey rooted in faith and shared spirituality.
The Jesus Youth Movement in Canada sprouted during World Youth Day 2002, left by St. Pope John Paul II. Fueled by the Holy Spirit, evangelization spread nationwide. Dedicated families and small groups steered its growth. Pastors and religious provided crucial guidance. Through prayer groups, outreaches, and retreats, countless youths encountered divine awe, prompting journeys toward holier lives. In today’s Canada, marked by the sacrifice of the Canadian Martyrs, the movement flourishes with vibrant ministries for youth, campus, young adults, families, teens, and kids. Many express faith through talents, heeding calls to marriage and priesthood, embracing deeper spiritual paths.
