Every jesus youth is a missionary

Jesus Youth is missionary in nature and has a special focus on evangelizing today’s youth, promoting an active Christian way of life, and commitment to mission.

Mission is an integral part of Jesus Youth. We often say that Mission and Formation are the two lungs of our movement. This aptly illustrates how our movement’s vitality relies heavily on our commitment to mission. Here in Canada, after prayerful discernment, we’ve determined that our mission is to engage with First Nation Communities. We’ve actively pursued this missionary calling through various short-term missions involving both families and youth.

PRAYER FOR MISSION

Abba Father, I thank you for calling us and for giving us your grace to be missionary disciples. I place before you all the missionaries in Canada, especially every Jesus Youth who has responded to your call.

I pray for all the mission initiatives of Jesus Youth Canada. Grant us the grace to be your witnesses with a renewed spirit, in the land of Canada.

We were assigned to the Fort Alexander mission community. It was a life-changing experience on so many levels. I went on the mission with the intention of strengthening my spiritual life. However, being on the mission not only fortified my faith but also improved every aspect of my daily life. It showed me how practicing my faith becomes easier through instilling discipline in my personal life, particularly in regard to prayer.
